Swedish Massage:
Long smooth strokes, kneading, and circular movements are used on superficial layers of muscle using massage lotion or oil to soothe muscles and help increase circulation and relaxation.
Deep Tissue Massage:
Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Slower strokes or friction techniques are used across the grain of the muscle to relieve soreness and tight muscles. Extra focus is given to areas of concern.
Deep tissue massage can be used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems, or recovery from injury.
Swedish/Deep Combo Massage:
Hot Stone Massage:
Heated, smooth stones are placed on certain points on the body to warm and loosen tight muscles and balance energy centers in the body. The Massage Therapist uses Hot Stones to glide over areas of large muscle and gentle pressure is applied. The warmth is comforting. Hot stone massage is good for people who have muscle tension but prefer lighter massage.
Pregnancy Massage:
Massage therapists certified in pregnancy massage know how to position and support the pregnant body during the massage, and how to modify techniques. Pregnancy massage is used to reduce stress, decrease swelling, relieve aches and pains, and to reduce anxiety and depression.
Pregnancy Massage is not recommended until the 2nd trimester unless client has approval by her doctor.
